Winry? I'm going to need you to take a look at my arm. -=He sounds tired. The frantic frustrated screaming all week long has made him hoarse as well.=-

At least, I think it's safe to deal with it now.

[... okay, so maybe Rachel feels bad. Moderately bad. It had been a bad week and her -- well, constant virtue-ness had made it unreasonably difficult. So it's with a huff that she responds, arms crossed, irritable.]

What did you do to it?

Don't yell at me, Edward, it was a question!

[GOD, WHY DOES SHE DEAL WITH YOU.]

... well, do you need anything?

Well, it's a good question to ask, isn't it?

[WELL SHUT UP.]

Are you in your room?

...what'd you do this time? [not her usual loud yelling. She's still disturbed by the past week and she doesn't miss the exhaustion in his voice]

[SHE IS TOTALLY BRINGING YOU COOKIES. ... she made, like, eighty of them during her week of virtues, okay.

Have a knock on your door. She'll fix your stupid sling. Dumbass.]

[ACTUALLY, THEY ARE DELICIOUS SUGAR COOKIES WITH AWESOME FROSTING, YOU UNGRATEFUL JERK.

She prods the door open with her foot, peering in, with a small bag to eye him.]

... that looks uncomfortable.

[...what on Earth]

Just trying to figure what the heck is up with Al. Seeing him like this... [she trails off. Ed knows. Better than her, probably]

Nevermind. To the workshop then?

[Them again. The word alone is something that's beginning to make her twitch when she hears it]

Are you home? I'll meet you at the door then so we can walk together.

Well, you tied the sling wrong, so that's hardly any help.

[She moves over to him.]

Can you move it at all?

My dads put me in Girl Scouts for a year when I was eight.

[Rachel quickly fought her way out because like hell was she camping in the woods by herself where bears could eat her, but all the same!]

And a sling isn't that difficult. Finn is on the football team. Injuries happen. I'm not inept, you know.

Hold your arm up with your other arm so I can fix it.

[Winry pulls on some extra layers and soon makes her way to meet Ed. She gives him a critical once over, but makes no comment on his appearance but the worried and disapproving look says enough on its own]

Yea.

Luckily, I've never had to sling up his arms, but it's always a good thing to know in case he breaks something. Or lapses into a coma.

[She carefully unties the sling to retie it properly, a little more snugly, to make him more comfortable.]

There.

As well as he can be in this place.

[She has a seat without asking, pulling the bag of her cookies over to her, opening it slightly.]

Want one?

[... this is how she apologizes for being difficult. By... not apologizing at all. But with cookies!]
