-=Ed's seated in the kitchen, rocking on the back two legs of his chair as he's slowly painting something on a glass bowl. It's time consuming since he has to wait for the paint to dry between colors and layers, so there's a couple around him in various states of completion.=-

We are going down the valley
Going down the valley
Going toward the setting of the sun
We are going down the valley
Going down the valley
We are going down the valley one by one

-=What is this? Words, under his breath, barely heard by the PCD with a sense of rhythm and tone. Is this young man singing? Surely not!=-

We are going down the valley one by one
With our faces toward the setting of the sun
Down in the valley where the mournful cypress grows
Where the streams of death in silence onward flows

-=An old war song he heard from the soldiers as they marched through his town. In spite of his youth and his abhorration for the military and what they represent, it has left it's mark on Edward, and it shows in the quiet moments.=-

We are going down the valley one by one
Yet before the shadowed veil will come the dawn,
And a gentle hand will lead us lest we fall,
Hell is going down the valley with us all.

-=It's most likely the reason why he can't stand all the singing around here. He's reminded too much of those soldiers on their death march, those who collapsed in front of their home, the dirty faced men who asked their mother permission to bury their comrades on their land. Haunting words echo in his head, and eventually slip out of his mouth.=-

We are going down the valley one by one
When the warring of this weary world is done;
When the warring of this weary world is past
We shall stand upon the river bank at last
.

-=There's a soft hum from him as he lifts up the glass orb in one hand and then carefully sets it down to dry, picking up the next to paint.=-

[Action from house members are welcomed, and FMA people feel free to recognize the song as a Soldier's Lament.]
