I didn't think there were that many hurt people up at the clinic... but I guess she is much more used to helping people recover, and getting supplies to everyone seems like just the thing to use her energy for.

The way you go about your passions is very similar, though. You lose yourselves to them, which isn't a bad thing, because that's part of why you both excel so much in your field.

A relationship is a partnership, too. You guys are already a team in a lot of ways. You both accept your limitations, and know when to call on each other, or are learning. You don't have to be attached at the hip.
