You may not be from the same place, but I don't think that matters, much. Where I'm from Bradley's a homunculus. That part's similar, at least. But Selim, his kid's one, as is some guy named Sloth and then I think everyone else is the same. Bradley, or Wrath, is having Sloth dig a giant transmutation array underneath the country. The whole country.

But Father can't activate it on his own. He needs five alchemists to act as a catalyst. They're the best of the best, no one can beat them in alchemy.

-=He turns his head to look at Al.=- We're all here in this place, now. And this city's basically in ruins now, as it is. If Father shows up here, it probably wouldn't take much to get him to transmute this place.

[Al's expression goes increasingly darker as he listens, but towards the end, he goes utterly silent, settling down next to his brother on the bed, picking at the quilt with his fingers.]

Maybe not in alchemy, but the power level of the people here should be more than enough to stop him, if he's taken this long to form his plan. The community here is amazing. They'll help us. This is for them, too.

If he's digging a transmutation circle... then he'd have to do one here, too. He'd have to do it around this entire place. In such a small area, we can control it, and we can continually disrupt his work.

You know about his plan, right? He'd have to come up with a different one, if he came here.

Not just creepy feelings. Good reason to mistrust. Do you remember when we had Envy in a jar, while he was in that form?

He wanted Envy handed over into his custody. He was concerned about how we were treating him.

I never got a clear answer on why he was helping him.
